At the moment I work for the Navy, and my job is to look after the electronics of the planes and everything that goes with them. That includes everything in the hangers, and even in the mess! Luckily I have several people working alongside and underneath me, but sometimes some jobs still get left to me which I wish someone else could deal with!
I recently had to find some new and highly complex flexible circuit solutions for some of our avionics on our base. This wasn’t exactly my area of expertise, so I used the internet to get myself up to speed. It turned out that this was something that only the most specialist firms could deal with, so I had a real difficulty in finding the right sort of company that could provide me with what I was after.
I managed to track down a company called Vulcan, who seemed to be able to do this for me. They had some great information on their website about their circuit services, and they offered exactly what we needed.
I got in touch with them straight away and managed to talk to someone who talked me through what they could do for us. They were really helpful and helped me to understand what I needed to do in order to put this into practice.
Not long afterwards all of the new circuitry had been completed, and I could get back to my preferred job – instructing other people to do the work!
